The EIIS Innovation Fund is delighted to announce that we have invested €600k into Gigable as part of a €1.26m seed round. The investment forms part of our EIIS Innovation Fund from 2022 and includes additional investment by new private investors in Gigable, including Great Stuff Ventures and members of the Spark CrowdFunding platform, as well as by existing investors such as Delta Partners VC and other private High Net Worth individuals.
Gigable is a platform that connects local freelance workers with local businesses. It is a differentiated model in the gig economy space with its focus on enabling a direct connection between small business and the local gig economy workforce. Their model enables workers to take shifts with multiple local businesses on a completely flexible basis, emphasising more transparency, stability and guaranteed rates of pay. For business owners, accessing a highly motivated and proactive local flexible workforce can be a powerful way to solve short and medium term staffing needs without the worry of constant recruitment and inconsistency in their staffing and service to their customer.

As part of this investment, Brendan Moran, Investment Director of The EIIS Innovation Fund will become an advisor to the company.
